Those familiar with baijiu (Chinese white liquor) know that high-proof baijiu often doesn't have a defined shelf life. So, does sorghum liquor, as a type of baijiu, also have a shelf life? And how long can it be stored? Generally, sorghum liquor in glass bottles has a shelf life of 2 to 3 years, usually not exceeding 4 years. Sorghum liquor in porcelain or earthenware bottles, due to their better sealing, has a relatively longer shelf life, potentially reaching 3 to 5 years, and most not exceeding 12 years. It's worth noting that sorghum liquor gradually accumulates flavor during long-term storage, becoming more mellow and valuable. However, if evaporation is observed during storage, it should be consumed promptly to ensure the integrity of the liquor.

If the sorghum liquor is of high quality and stored under suitable sealing conditions, it can be stored for ten years or longer. However, for lower-quality baijiu, even if its quality improves after long-term storage, the benefits of such storage are relatively small.

Factors affecting the shelf life of sorghum liquor: Sorghum liquor has a relatively short shelf life, mainly due to its composition and production process.
